Wodyetia bifurcata or Foxtail Palm ثعلب النخيل is an attractive native Australian palm, with a smooth, and slightly bottle shaped trunk and weeping foxtail like fronds. Ideal for landscaping around pools, houses and as patio or indoor plant potted. Perfect for hot, tropical areas. The foxtail palm is very hardy and will tolerate light frosts and seasonal dryness, once established.
The common name of foxtail palm alludes to the plumose leaves. The species is endangered in its restricted native habitat because of the heretofore rampant collection of its seeds for ornamental horticulture.
